On only a few occasions in one file does the displayed JPEG image appear fuzzy whereas other JPEGs remain clear as do the fuzzy images when printed or in PDFs. Although the problem resolves itself I remain curious. Why?

S
Answer by Sean Hill

This happens because of the settings available in the Publisher application. Use the following instructions and the picture will be displayed correctly.

In the View tab/Graphics Manager go to the bottom of the Graphics Manager panel, then left click and select "Change Picture Display". On the Picture Display screen tick "Detailed Display".

After this procedure, the image should be displayed correctly.

I am making mailing address labels. How do you print different ones on a single page? I don't want to print a whole page of the same name over and over again. How can this be done?

A
Answer by Aiden McLeod

This is a simple process. In order to perform this task, create an Excel spreadsheet with all your contacts arranged in a tabular structure. This is needed in order to later merge the data and automatically add it to the mailing address labels. You can visit the following support website provided by Microsoft, where all the steps are explained.

I am creating a program and when I am at final the first page picture has been dropped and a large X has replaced it. Why is this happening?

J
Answer by Julia Bocchetta

It has been reported that this is a video driver problem. First go to View > Pictures and try to change the settings between them and repeat the step with the picture. If it still disappears, go to Start > Run and type dxdiag and find Hardware Acceleration. Turn it 3 sliders down and then try working with your application again.

It all depends on how many times you can use the serial number to activate the product. Serial numbers provided by Microsoft can be installed on 3 different hardware IDs. Go ahead and install it, if you encounter any errors you should be informed during the installation when you activate it.

The product is known to work in Windows versions up to Windows XP only. Any attempt to run the application in Windows 8 could lead to compatibility issues, but you can also try to do it since it's completely safe. You should set compatibility to Windows XP to increase chances to work correctly.

Yes. The Microsoft Publisher 2010 will be compatible with Windows 8 (32 bit and 64 bit). You will be able to open files that were created using MS Publisher 2007 in the 2010 version but it is possible that they cannot be viewed correctly. If this happens there are some things that you need to do. Open the file in Publisher 2010, place the cursor in the text box from page 1 of the document and press Ctrl + A to select all the text. With the text selected, go to Home -> Paragraph -> Tabs and click Clear All. Click OK and save the file under the different name (to keep your old file as a backup).

Vistaprint is an online publish service where you can upload your content from MS Publisher. There no resemblance between them because one it's a service and one it's a software which runs on a operating system (Windows, this case). Many users prefer this method of creating what they need in MS Publisher and then upload the same content to Vistaprint for actual printing purposes. You upload your content to the website using the upload section and then customize the output, the price and the delivery and you'll receive at your home the result.

I have used Microsoft Publisher 98 on my laptop with Windows XP for a couple of years. Last week I had a tech clear off my hard drive and reload my Windows XP. I have reinstalled the programs I use routinely, and Microsoft Publisher 98 works until I try to "insert a picture" - it doesn't recognize my JPEG photos now. It was not a problem before. Does anyone know what I need to do?

To fix the application, use the official Fix from Microsoft. Visit the page and download the FixIT application. Launch it from the path where you saved it and then follow the instructions on the screen. Restart the computer and everything will be returned to normal.

Try to export the file as CSV file format then use Kies to import the CSV file. CSV is a standard format used for importing contacts.
